Why am I getting complaints of multiple emails being sent when I only sent one?

This is a common problem if you are using any of the following:

  • Apple Mail
  • IMAP settings
If you are receiving complaints that you sent one email but the recipient is receiving multiple copies, this is due to Apple Mail saving multiple copies of your email draft to the server.

The following should fix this issue:

  1. Open Apple Mail
  2. Click on Mail>Preferences
  3. Click on Accounts Tab
  4. Highlight your account then click on the Mailbox Behaviors tab on the right
  5. uncheck "store draft messages on the server"
This should eliminate this problem.  If it does not or you use a client other than Apple Mail, please first check with your software provider then open a support ticket for us to review.
